Some Light Trespassing....
As an early birthday present for Jon, we took a little trip to the new house this weekend and broke let ourselves in. We had stopped by earlier and saw that the walls were up and it was just too tempting to not take a look. This was the first opportunity we have had since we visited the model house* so long ago to see the real layout of the house. It was very overwhelming; I still can't believe that in just about a month I will be standing in that kitchen and waking up in that bedroom.
Progress Made (from what we could see):
- Drywall up throughout the house
- Shutters installed
- Garage Doors installed....Love them!!
Considering I only have packed up two boxes since we did our initial super-decluttering, I might want to start concentrating on that first, ya think?
Apologies for the grainy pictures...it was getting pretty dark when we went back.....
*When we went to visit the model house, it was in this development near Quakertown that was still being sold. When we pulled up, the neighbor came out to tell us that it was a great house and we should buy it. He then proceeded to start doing squat thrusts in the middle of the cul-de-sac and we spotted him later lifting a large barbell in the middle of his driveway (I've also been told that he has a huge tire that he likes to roll down the street). So if anybody is looking for an EXTREMELY AWESOME neighbor, I'm farily certain that house is still looking for an owner.

The Easter Bunny Odyssey
We were hoping that Blake might be old enough this year to sit happily on the Easter Bunnies lap....we were sorely mistaken. Here is a snapshot of our Easter Bunny saga this year.....it took about 20 minutes to get him to sit on my lap next to the Easter Bunny, after he proceeded to try to pick up all of the fake carrots and eggs in the "garden" and give them to the Bunny. Once he did make it onto my lap, the camera man had to actually hit himself on the head with a plastic egg (Mike Wasowski style) to get him to smile. Needless to say, the KOP Easter Bunny Team went above and beyond
Grayson, meanwhile, sat quietly smiling the whole time.......

It's Official!!
Come Memorial Day Weekend we will officially be Sellersville residents!! Went into a bit of a panic tailspin when we got the official closing date, but now I'm at a 70/30 excitement/panic ratio. Thank you to the burly men who have already volunteered their talents to the Boehmke 2014 Move.
Probably won't be able to get interior pics for a few weeks but here's the status of what's been done recently:
- Siding is up
- Garage slab is poured
- Insulation going in
- Drywall started

Ok - so maybe we didn't exactly visit THAT part of Baltimore, but we did manage to squeeze in a mini-trip to Maryland to visit Jon's sister this month now that Blake is able to make it a few hours in the car without vomiting/freaking out. It was a really great day (weather and company wise) and except for the hour we spent STUCK on I95 on the way home, made for a perfect day trip. We will be a back in June to celebrate Karen and Dave's upcoming wedding and thinking we'll try to take Blake to the aquarium that time (fingers crossed). Here's a few pics we grabbed -

Moving right along.......
Been a little lagging in getting a house update on the blog....mostly because I wasted a lot of energy trying to figure out how to upload a video that my dad took of him and Blake breaking and entering into the house one rainy day (as you'll notice - I never figured it out) Cute as the video was, I was really trying to post it because in this state, it's tough to get a feeling for the house layout from still pictures, but a video really shows you how the space feels when you walk around - and who wouldn't love to have Blake as their tour guide?
Anyway - here are a lot of pics from a few collected visits. Next time we visit I'll hopefully be able to get a video but we may have drywall up at that point...which will just be crae- crae
In case you're keeping track, here is a list of the last few things that went into the house after framing:
